I am really one of the great admirer of this breed.....They truly have all the qualities of a great breed.
If you are looking for a watch dog i think doberman is the breed you can rely upon as a watch dog. As all the breeds have, e do have liking and disliking for certain things. They love their handler and they don't like to be handled by many peoples. If they develop any type of disliking to words any one, it is better for that person to stay away from them.
One should accept this great breed with it's original qualities.
And about their temperament, it largely depends upon how they are been brought -up and believe me it is the case with most of the breeds no matter which one you choose.
